Jamie Peacock MBE is considered one of the best Rugby players of his generation and is one of the most decorated players of all time. Having had success at Bradford Bulls, Leeds Rhinos and captained England & Great Britain for 8 years.

He talks about his journey as an average player to becoming one of the greats through sheer hard work. Jamie realised early that hard work was in his control & that not everyone wants to go the extra mile.

Jamie is natural leader and post Rugby after a spell as director of Rugby at Hull KR he has set up his own coaching and mentoring business. You can find his website - make sure you check out his honours list on the profile page.

We discuss his youth & where his desire & learning ability came from. We talk about the transition away from sport and how his first coaching client made him nervous!

Jamie is also running & competing in huge running events for charities and in March is running the Green Man Ultra with our previous guest Simon Dent. They are hoping to raise a substantial amount for charity Green House Sports (

Greenhouse Sports uses inspirational sports coaching and mentoring to engage young people and improve their life chances. We partner with schools to provide opportunities for young people who may be disengaged, vulnerable or facing disadvantage to develop the social, thinking, emotional and physical skills that help them thrive.
